Narcotics Anonymous was formed in 1953 and has since grown to nearly 33,000 meetings in 108 countries. The first NA meeting in the Winston-Salem area was started in 1982. That meeting, New Connections, thrives to this day. Twin City Area Narcotics Anonymous was formed in 1984 and today holds over 45 meetings per week.
